NailingYear12 Program

The Program is delivered in up to seven 90-minute sessions with a parent present. Up to three students can share the experience, the knowledge and the cost of the Program.

Although real assessment tasks are used to demonstrate and practice essay writing skills, the Program does NOT deal with the content of any subject.

The Program has seven components:

1 Understanding the challenge – an overview of the assessment regime, the ATAR system, what individual students need to do to succeed and the importance of motivation.

2 Organising your life - how to organise your life (and the life of your family) around the Year 12 challenge, ensuring that you give study your best shot whilst enjoying one of the best years of your life.

Organising information - how to store and retrieve syllabus content in all subjects.

Study skills - reading - how to make the best use of reading time.

Study skills - note-taking - how to record information effectively from reading and from lessons in a way that maximises the learning experience and facilitates revision.

Essay writing - how to apply whatever knowledge you have to providing an outstanding answer to essay questions in any subject - includes mind-mapping, organisation and planning.

Exam techniques - how to make the most of your preparation time and maximise your results on the day.
